Grandma,
In this era of smartphones, emails, texts and snaps, I never got an opportunity to write a letter to anyone, or you can say I never felt the need to write one. But I don't have your phone number or email address or snap Id. I doubt whether you even have anyone of these. And I am not even sure if you will read this letter, because my mum says you're a star and now I am old enough to realise what that means. I never saw or met you. But you're always in my heart and I visit your place really frequently. Remember the house where you wanted to breathe your last?
Dad says you never wanted to go to the hospital and wished to die with grandpa's memories. And now when I visit that house and sit on your bed, your fragrance tickles my nose. The pillow still smells of you. When I stand in front of the mirror in your room, it tells me that I can never match your beauty. And do you know what I like the most about your house? It's the way it shows that you are still present in every bit of it. It's the comfort your bed gives me everytime. Grandma, I love your house because you reside in it, and I can see you sitting on the armchair waiting for me.
Beautiful it is ! Really it reminds me of my childhood days ☺️
