Wings to fly

Have you ever asked your kids

What is they want to be

What are the things they desire

Or the dreams they want to see?

You know how your buds were nipped

When you wished to grow

So would you have their wings too clipped

Or a new seed will you sow!

Even though hard it may seem;

Let them live a life,

Let them see a dream.

If it is a psinter he wants to be,

Or a doctor of the heart,

Or maybe he just likes to dance

Or bake a tasty tart.

Maybe she just likes to sing

Or write a funny book

Maybe she just likes to teach

Or pick up a storm as a cook.

Success can come in many forms,

Being happy is one of them.

If your little one wants to soar,

Encourage but don't abandon them.

Even though hard it may seem;

Let them live a life,

Let them see a dream!
