As the lights dimmed through the wide corridors
The never ending commotion fading out
Too many doom doors passing by
'Men in white' tiptoeing here and there
Clock ticks into the 12th hour
A fluid being injected into me
Flashes of memories
Life in a detour
There was but one hand
Holding you through thick and thin
When you were new to the city
He taught you the bus numbers
To reach school, to be on time
He was the one
Who saved you from that bully
Gave the right advice and
Guided you through the difficult gully
As the doctor stiches your body
You feel thankful inside,
To the 'Friend' sitting beside.
