Even though we talked over the phone,

Upon seeing you in real, I was totally blown,

Still remember the goosebumps I got on train,

On the way to my soon-to-be new hometown,

5 mins were left until the station,

Where I was going to have a conversation,

With you for the first ever time,

Scared, excited, thrilled and nervous,

A plethora of emotions kept high my adrenaline rush,

I tried very hard but in vain to hush,

The bursting pulsating heart,

And the wobbly knees.

The train halted and out I got,

Kept all my fears under check,

Minutes passed and you didn't show up,

Just when I thought I had to wait more,

To see you in person,

You stood there outside the station,

Sporting that dazzling smile that eased my tension,

Gave me your hand for a formal shake,

My heart didn't permit me even for the formality sake,

To look up at you to reciprocate.

Scared and trembling I was, yes,

But happy to know I was,

That I will be in care of, from now on,

The most considerate, caring and loving person,

Who always made sure I was happy.

To my beloved, my Aathukarar,

Even after two years of betrothal,

Every single day looks new to me with you,
